Drum Making Workshop and Drumming Circle - $ 75.00

A community gathering to help create each others special drum.

           

In this workshop we will start out by creating a sacred space to work in and then a short talking on the powers of the drum. And in that space we will bless the hands, tools and materials that will be creating these beautiful drums.

Breaking out into smaller groups, working together to stretch the hides over the frames and tying the notes, then making  and decorating your beater.

          

Once all the drums are made we will do a final blessing and smudging of each drum before they are put away to dry.

As the work is now done; its time to feast and play. 

Continuing in the spirit of community we will break for a summertime potluck feast.  and once we are fed it time to play the drums.

If you do not have a drum to bring (your new drum will be a week or more before you can play it) we will have lots for you to try.

Drum Kit Prices:

The following prices are over and above the $75.00 for the workshop.  these prices include exchange rate, shipping & handling. Kits most be paid for in full two weeks before workshop . This is to ensure delivery of the kits in time for the workshop.

All kits include:

Drum frame, elk hide and more than enough rawhide lacing!

Also included in this kit is a beaters stick and all materials.

All tools required to build your drum will be supplied for your use.
